Our School Our Family       

Prep’s boarding houses are situated right above the classrooms and are home to about 52 pupils from Eastern Cape and further afield. The colourful dormitories provide a homely atmosphere.

The houses are run by caring housemasters, matrons and student 'stooges' who provide all the support, guidance and discipline the boys need on a day to day basis. The relaxed family atmosphere ensures that the girls and boys are settled and happy in the school environment. Pupils are encouraged to become responsible and independent, while interaction with and interdependence on fellow pupils naturally follow.

Over weekends, when not involved with school activities, boarders have time to play in the park-like grounds of the school and are often taken on outings by staff members. The school has a full-time matron who cares for the boys in a sunny sanatorium above the courtyard. Boarders are registered with the school doctor who visits the San each morning.

Day pupils are assigned to houses and may spend a night if need be.
