Outdoor Education

Senior boys love their three day long camping Outdoor Education excursions every year. In each grade the accent falls on a different aspect - perhaps local history or marine biology - but the basic idea remains the same: to broaden perspectives and stretch horizons beyond factual learning.
An important part of each excursion is the friendship bonds which are formed when teams have to face physical and mental challenges and the Solitaire Sessions when pupils have to spend an hour or two on his own in the veld or on the beach, learning to analyse their thoughts and feelings.
